Do any of these services cost anything?
No. Every service on this page is provided at no charge, with no obligation to buy — the selection help, the Pro-AV configuration review, the standing-desk and cable-management planning, the golf simulator and home theatre design documents, and the after-purchase help with replacement parts, a warranty claim, or a missing manual. That includes the room layout, the drawing, the formal bill of materials, and the throw-distance and drop calculation sheet. All of it is pre-sale and after-sale support from QualGear's US-based team.
What do the golf simulator and home theatre design services produce?
Four documents, all at no charge: a room layout, a drawing, a formal bill of materials, and a throw-distance and drop calculation sheet. They are built from the dimensions and equipment you supply and from published product specifications. A drawing is a planning document — not a structural certification, an engineering stamp, or a substitute for an onsite survey. QualGear does not install, and remote guidance cannot inspect or certify a structure.
What are the terms of a complimentary design consultation?
QualGear may provide complimentary design consultations when the requested effort is reasonable. All consultation requests—whether made by phone, email, in person, or through any other means—are subject to QualGear's sole discretion. QualGear will review each design consultation request, assess the required effort, and determine, at its sole discretion, whether to provide the consultation. Receipt or discussion of a request does not create any promise, commitment, or guarantee that QualGear will provide consultation services, complete a design, or deliver any related materials. QualGear may decline or discontinue any consultation request at any time. QualGear may provide an estimated delivery date; however, any estimate is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a promise, guarantee, or commitment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, QualGear is not liable for failed or delayed deliveries, lost revenue, lost profits, lost projects, missed opportunities, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from or related to the consultation.
Does QualGear install products?
No. QualGear provides documentation and technical guidance — product information, specifications, package contents, assembly steps, compatible accessories, troubleshooting, and replacement-part identification. QualGear does not offer installation or onsite services, and remote support cannot inspect or certify a structure. For structural or code-sensitive work, engage a qualified professional.
How quickly will I hear back?
QualGear support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CT. Requests sent through the contact form or to support@qualgear.com receive a response within one business day. Support is not staffed on weekends or outside those hours. That commitment covers replies. It is not a turnaround time for a design document — see the consultation terms above for how design requests are assessed and how any delivery estimate should be read.
What information should I send for selection help?
The model or SKU you are considering, the make and model of your equipment, its weight, its mounting pattern or hole spacing, the installation location and supporting surface, the extension or drop you need, and photos or video when requested. An order number helps for anything after purchase.
Can QualGear confirm compatibility for my project?
QualGear can provide specifications and general technical information. For a useful review, provide the equipment make and model, weight, mounting pattern, ceiling or wall type, the desired drop or extension, photos or drawings, and any unusual site conditions. The installer remains responsible for the completed configuration.
Does a compatibility review replace professional engineering or onsite inspection?
No. Remote guidance cannot verify concealed structure, substrate condition, local code, field dimensions, or workmanship. Structural or code-sensitive installations need a qualified professional. QualGear can tell you what a product's published specifications are; it cannot tell you what your ceiling will hold.
Can I run an HDMI cable outdoors?
No QualGear HDMI cable carries an outdoor or direct-burial rating, so for an outdoor run the answer is a network cable. The Cat 6 outdoor cable is weatherproof, UV resistant, and rated for direct burial; the Cat 7 outdoor cable is triple-shielded S/FTP, weatherproof, direct-burial suitable, and fire-rated. QualGear does not advise on burial depth, conduit, or local code — that is work for a qualified professional.
Is CAT 8 worth it?
The QualGear network range is Cat 6 and Cat 7, so the honest answer is what those cover. Cat 6 carries 10 Gbps up to 15 ft / 4.6 m and 1 Gbps beyond that up to 200 ft / 61 m. Cat 7 is shielded — foil on the flat patch cable, S/FTP on the round and outdoor cables — and carries 10 Gbps. Whether a higher category earns its cost depends on the rate your equipment actually negotiates and how long the run is. Send both and we will tell you which cable in the range covers it.
Can QualGear include a projector, screen, TV, receiver, speakers or a subwoofer in my home theatre?
On request, yes — as part of a custom home-theatre bundle. These are third-party products QualGear does not own, and none of them is sold separately here. Projectors: Epson, JVC, and Samsung. Receivers: Denon, Onkyo, and Marantz. Speakers: Martin Logan, Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Elac, Elura, and Sonos. Subwoofers: Martin Logan, Polk Audio, Definitive Technology, Elac, Elura, and Sonos. Screens: Screen Innovation and SCRN. A TV can be included on the same basis; QualGear owns no television brand and names none. QualGear sources these items, coordinates their delivery, and is your point of contact for a bundle from the first question onward — to arrange a return for a bundle item, contact QualGear. Warranty claims on bundle items are handled by the respective manufacturers. A bundle is quoted and invoiced separately and is not a store order. QualGear's own projector screens and screen fabrics are a different thing entirely: they are QualGear products, sold on this store, and carry a 2-year limited manufacturer's warranty, parts only.
Can QualGear provide CAD files, dimensions, or commercial project information?
These may be available for qualifying commercial inquiries. Contact QualGear with the model number, the project scope, the file or dimension you need, and the intended use. Dealer and commercial accounts also cover product selection, availability, documentation, volume requirements, and shipping coordination.
How do I request a replacement part?
Contact support with the model number and a description of the part. Availability depends on the product's age, model status, and component inventory. A replacement part is covered for the remaining period of the original product's warranty (parts only). After the warranty period, parts and service are at the customer's expense.
How do I start a warranty claim?
Gather dated proof of purchase, the model number or SKU, a description of the issue, and photos or video. Email support@qualgear.com or call +1 972-423-5015, Mon–Fri, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CT. Do not return anything until an approved RMA or written instructions are issued. In-stock parts are generally processed for shipment within 3 to 5 business days after approval.
Who supports the indoor golf products?
Indoor golf items are supplied, shipped, supported, and warranted by our golf specialist partner under their product warranty. Start with QualGear support and the request is routed to the right team. QualGear directly supports the projector mounts, Pro-AV components, cables, and monitor mounts used in the same bay.
