Will it fit?
Check mount compatibility. Two numbers decide it: your equipment's mounting-hole pattern and its weight.
For a TV, the TV wall mount finder looks up your model and shows which QualGear mounts fit and why. For a monitor or projector, or if you prefer to check by hand, find two numbers in your equipment's manual and compare them against any mount's Key Specifications.
TVs & monitors
Check a TV or monitor mount. Fit is decided by VESA pattern and weight — not screen size.
A mount fits when your display's mounting-hole pattern appears in the mount's supported VESA list and the display's weight is within the mount's weight capacity.

Identify your display
Write down the brand and the exact model number. It is usually on the label on the back of the display or in the settings menu. Screen size alone does not identify a model.
-
Find the manufacturer's specifications
What is VESA?The VESA pattern is the spacing of the display's threaded mounting holes, measured in millimeters, width by height — 400 × 300 mm, for example. The pattern and the weight without the stand are published in the manual and on the manufacturer's specification page for your exact model number. Retailer listings often repeat them in their specification tabs; search your exact model number at a retailer below. Still nothing? Measure the hole spacing in millimeters yourself and look up the weight without the stand, then enter both in the checklist helper.
-
Compare against any mount's Key Specifications
Shop TV mountsEvery QualGear mount page lists its complete supported VESA patterns and its weight capacity under Key Specifications. Your display fits when its exact pattern appears in the mount's list and its weight is at or under the mount's capacity. Both checks must pass — meeting only one, such as screen size, is not sufficient. Looking for a desk mount? Shop monitor mounts.
-
Check the installation surface
Confirm what the wall or desk is made of and that the mount's installation manual lists that surface and the hardware to use. A remote review cannot verify concealed structure, so structural or code-sensitive installations need a qualified professional.

Where to find display specs
Search your exact model number and open the specifications tab on the listing.
Build your fit checklist
Enter the numbers from your display's manual. We restate them as the two checks to run on any mount page — nothing is looked up or stored.
Check that your TV is wider than the mount's wall plate. If the plate is wider than the TV, it will show on either side. This is about appearance, not safety — fit is decided by VESA pattern and weight.

Ask tech supportAlways confirm your display's weight and VESA pattern in its manual before mounting.
Projectors
Check a projector mount. Fit is decided by weight and mounting-hole geometry.
A projector mount fits when the projector's weight is within the mount's capacity and the bracket's adjustment range reaches the projector's threaded mounting holes without obstruction.
-
Identify your projector
Write down the brand and the exact model number. It is usually on the label on the projector's base or in its manual. The model number matters because a series can include versions with different weights and hole locations.
-
Find the manufacturer's specifications: weight and hole geometry
The installation manual and the manufacturer's support page for your model list the weight and the threaded mounting-hole locations on the base. Count the holes — most projectors have three or four; a few have five or six — and measure the shortest and longest center-to-center distance between them.
-
Compare against a projector mount
Shop projector mountsProjector mount pages list weight capacity and adjustment details under Key Specifications. Check that the capacity covers your projector's weight, and that the bracket's adjustment range reaches every mounting hole across your measured spacing without obstruction.

Ceiling drops and the Pro-AV system
Planning a ceiling projector assembly? Use the Pro-AV system builderFor suspended grids, trusses, vaulted ceilings, or longer drops, the QualGear Pro-AV 1.5 in NPT system combines ceiling adapters, extension pipes, pipe connectors, and projector brackets. Compatible components may be combined when specifications, threading, load ratings, and instructions permit — the assembly works as a system, and the lowest applicable load limit controls. About the Pro-AV system.
-
Check the installation surface
Confirm the ceiling or wall type and structure, and that the mount's installation manual lists that surface and the hardware to use. A remote review cannot verify concealed structure, local code, or field dimensions; structural installations need a qualified professional.
