Will it fit?

Check the fit before you buy. Two numbers decide it: your display's VESA pattern and its weight.

There is no lookup tool here and no guesswork — just the same manual check QualGear support walks customers through. Find two numbers in your equipment's manual, then compare them against any mount's Key Specifications. A few minutes, done once, done right.

TVs & monitors

Check a TV or monitor mount. Fit is decided by VESA pattern and weight — not screen size.

A mount fits when your display's mounting-hole pattern appears in the mount's supported VESA list and the display's weight is within the mount's weight capacity.

  1. Find your display's VESA pattern and weight

Look at the back of the display: the VESA pattern is the spacing of its threaded mounting holes, measured in millimeters, width by height — 400 × 300 mm, for example. The pattern and the weight without the stand are published in the manual and on the manufacturer's specification page for your exact model number.

    What is VESA?
  2. Compare against any mount's Key Specifications

Every QualGear mount page lists its complete supported VESA patterns and its weight capacity under Key Specifications. Your display fits when its exact pattern appears in the mount's list and its weight is at or under the mount's capacity. Both checks must pass — meeting only one, such as screen size, is not sufficient.

  3. Can't find the numbers?

Retailer product listings usually publish weight and VESA in their specification tabs — search your exact model number at the retailer below. Still nothing? Measure the hole spacing in millimeters yourself and look up the weight without the stand, then enter both in the checklist helper.

Where to find display specs

Search your exact model number and open the specifications tab on the listing.

Always confirm your display's weight and VESA pattern in its manual before mounting.

Projectors

Check a projector mount. Fit is decided by weight and mounting-hole geometry.

A projector mount fits when the projector's weight is within the mount's capacity and the bracket's adjustment range reaches the projector's threaded mounting holes without obstruction.

  1. Find your projector's weight and hole geometry

The installation manual and the manufacturer's support page for your model list the weight and the threaded mounting-hole locations on the base. Count the holes — most projectors have three or four; a few have five or six — and measure the shortest and longest center-to-center distance between them.

  2. Compare against a projector mount

Projector mount pages list weight capacity and adjustment details under Key Specifications. Check that the capacity covers your projector's weight, and that the bracket's adjustment range reaches every mounting hole across your measured spacing without obstruction.

  3. Ceiling drops and the Pro-AV system

For suspended grids, trusses, vaulted ceilings, or longer drops, the QualGear Pro-AV 1.5 in NPT system combines ceiling adapters, extension pipes, pipe connectors, and projector brackets. Compatible components may be combined when specifications, threading, load ratings, and instructions permit — the assembly works as a system, and the lowest applicable load limit controls.

  4. Not sure? Ask us

Send the equipment make and model, weight, mounting pattern, ceiling or wall type, desired drop, and photos if you have them — QualGear support can identify potentially compatible components and provide specifications. A remote review cannot verify structure, local code, or field dimensions; structural installations need a qualified professional.

Always confirm your projector's weight and mounting-hole spacing in its manual before mounting.

Fit questions, answered. From the QualGear customer FAQ.

How do I choose the correct mount or mounting kit?
Start with the exact equipment model, weight, mounting pattern, installation location, supporting surface, required extension or drop, and desired adjustment range — then compare against the QualGear model's specifications and manual.
How do I know whether a TV or monitor mount is compatible?
Confirm the display's weight, screen-size range, mounting-hole pattern, and clearance requirements. Equipment must fall within all published limits — meeting only one, such as screen size, is not sufficient.
How do I know whether a projector mount is compatible?
Confirm the projector's weight, mounting-hole locations, mounting orientation, required ceiling drop, and the installation surface and structure. For universal brackets, verify the adjustment range reaches the projector's mounting points without obstruction.
Can I select a product based only on the equipment screen size?
No. Always verify weight capacity, mounting pattern, dimensions, clearances, hardware requirements, supporting structure, and installation conditions.
Can QualGear confirm compatibility for my project?
QualGear can provide specifications and general technical information. For a useful review, provide the equipment make and model, weight, mounting pattern, ceiling or wall type, desired drop or extension, photos or drawings, and any unusual site conditions.
Does a compatibility review replace professional engineering or onsite inspection?
No. Remote guidance cannot verify concealed structure, substrate condition, local code, field dimensions, or workmanship. Structural or code-sensitive installations need a qualified professional.
